class of 254 students at St.

Freshmen named Athletes of Promise
Sabrina Hackendorn and Claudia
Seemans, freshmen at St. Elizabeth
High School and
St. Mark's High School,
respectively, have received the
Athletes of Promise Award from the
Delaware Women's Alliance for Sports
and Fitness.
The award is presented to freshmen
or sophomores who excel in
academics; have begun
to show dedication, leadership and
sportsmanship; and participate in
sports in at least one season per
year.
Hackendorn was a starter on St.
Elizabeth's varsity volleyball and
basketball teams and is
a member of the track team. Her
grade-point average is 4.3. Seemans
was the setter for the Spartan's
state championship volleyball team
and played varsity basketball. She
has a 4.0 GPA.
Both are graduates of Holy Angels
School in Newark.
